Moss Agate - Tumbled Stone

Moss agate is a chalcedony with streaks, spots or areas of green color incorporated with magnesium and iron whose patterns are reminiscent of moss. In reality, this stone is not an agate due to the absence of bands, inherent to agates.

Moss agate deposits are found in India, Burma and Botswana.

Composition: Quartz, Iron and magnesium silicates.
