Kunzite, a beautiful pink variety of spodumene, is a lithium aluminum silicate. It is found primarily in granitic pegmatites, often in association with minerals such as feldspar, muscovite, quartz, and lepidolite. This fascinating mineral was named in honor of GF Kunz, who first discovered it in 1902.

The most significant deposits of Kunzite are located mainly in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but they have also been discovered in countries such as Brazil, Madagascar and the United States.
