Lépidolite - Pierre Roulée

Lepidolite was identified in 1861 by scientists Robert Bunsen and Gustav Kirchhoff. Originally referred to as "lilalite" because of its lavender-lilac hue, it was later given the name "lepidolite", derived from the Greek "lepidos", meaning "scale", because of its scaly appearance, characterized by lithium flakes.

The main deposits of Lepidolite are found in Brazil, Russia, Afghanistan, the United States (California), Canada and Madagascar.
