Description
Description
Double Flow Obsidian is a fascinating type of volcanic glass. It is distinguished by its unique hues of black and mahogany brown. Mahogany Obsidian, also known as Brown Obsidian, often comes from small inclusions of hematite or limonite crystals, which are iron oxides. Additionally, the presence of microscopic crystals of minerals such as magnetite, hornblende, pyroxene, plagioclase, and biotite, as well as tiny rock fragments, contribute to the formation of Black Obsidian varieties.
When these two colors, black and brown, combine in a single stone, it gives birth to Double Flow Obsidian, one of the most prized varieties.
