Hawk's Eye - Tumbled Stone

Hawk's Eye is a fascinating form of Tiger's Eye, a pseudomorph of Crocodolite, which occurs as crystalline masses. Its unique hue is the result of the natural Crocodolite fibers present in the stone, which have not yet been completely transformed into limonite. It is usually a strikingly beautiful dark blue color, which offers an exceptional shimmering luster.

Hawk's Eye deposits are mainly located in Australia, South Africa, India, Burma, Brazil, Mexico and the United States.
